I had a similar conclusion. The hardware wasn’t really the issue. Similar issue I’ve had with my Vivo X Fold. Google did great with the hardware even though the cameras could be better but its software that let me down. They’ve had all this time and seen what Samsung did to force split screen and force orientation of apps, but Google held back. I’d be happy if they’d make the software fixes. If they come out with the multitasking features that we’ve been asking for with the Pixel Fold 2, they better bring it to the original or get mocked like Apple, for forcing you to buy new hardware to get software stuff that the old hardware can easily support. If the Pixel Fold 2 gets the hardware bumps and software tweaks that are rumored, I might actually stick to the Fold rather than go to the 9 Pro/Pro XL, with my upgrade anytime deal. I love my PixelFold I got the 512gb version for £640 but I had to sideload AI wallpapers come on G and it took so long to get circle to search it was ridiculous

I've said it before, I'll say it again If Google cared about the environment the 6/7 series would all get 7 years of OS updates including the a series

There is almost never a time I would want more than 2 apps open on a screen the size of the Pixel Fold. Foldable phone screens are just not big enough to handle 3+ apps without it being ridiculously cramped and unusable. Just my opinion, of course.

I'm surprised that we don't have the specs for the Pixel 9 pro fold yet. And I can't help but notice Google has moved their release date to just one month after Samsung launches the new zfold, that's not very nice 😅

This makes me worried that they won't fix some of these issues for the Fold 2. I've got a Pixel 6 Pro and am looking to upgrade this year. I'm worried that Google will continue to treat the Fold like some kind of experiment and not with the same care that the other high end Pixel devices get.

Mine not disappointment I got mine at launch only 900.00 and Google has bought tablet software on Android beta 3 which gives me the best battery life better than my Z Fold. I take the best pictures using its camera which also won in MKHD blind camera test.

My problems with the pixel fold are the following. Camera. 1800 phone...takes 7a photos? Not a fan of that. I dont mind the photos much but then i use the OPO or the 8 pro and get frustrated at what could've been. Charging speeds. I saw my screen tell me it would take 2 hours to charge my pixel fold at 4%. Like...cmon... Battery life. NOT the greatest. Not even close to the fold 5 or the OPO. The pixel experience and various other aspects i like about the fold (plus i'm a foldable guy...LOVE THEM.) makes me go back to it from time to time. I just hate that they gave us this rough draft at times ass foldable. Please believe it's getting traded in the second the pixel fold 2 comes out as it looks far more promising.

I wouldn't mind only split screening if it worked like it did on the Surface Duo.

So glad I watched your review so view samsung tab artists. I love drawing on samsung tabs big or small since 2013. For smaller screen sizes the galaxy note phones back in the day were excellent. The experience is smoother than ios to me and the s pen is way better than apple pencil. The notes app is very realistic too. My one complaint is that I use artrage app and transferring files between my Android devices don't work in the native app file output so I have to change it to jpeg or png.if you have any suggestions would love to hear. Great video.

I always liked photography bit one i got my Picels, it encouraged me to go more into it. Dont have an actual camera but for me, this is good enough bur this video was sick 🎉

Love the POV stuff and the way you used framing, superior angles, moved to get the trees out of the shot and show that you don't need to use AI or telephoto to get the shot. The water is beautiful and the golden hour is my favorite time of day. Another great video.

Would love to see a similar video where you capture photos of people. Tbh, imo we can get quite similar results from a Pixel or an iPhone for the photos you captured in this video. The only thing keeping me on iPhone is how it processes the skin color of us Pakistanis, especially when the light is directly hitting the face, you can't get that level of satisfying shot on a Pixel or a Samsung. Great video though, do more of these please 😄

Im now testing s24U and xperia 1 VI to decide whoch to keep. In terms of photo quality, they are similar but with xperia performing better in low light situations, no dark but this gray environment. Video, s24U destroying Xperia in any department.

I still stand by the idea that the Galaxy S24 Ultra is the phone of 2024. It's so well rounded it will be difficult to beat it. It does good in literally every way. I shoot all my unboxing videos (UA-cam shorts/TikTok/IG) with it.

This looks good. I love shooting in the 50mp mode! 12mp almost always comes out looking flat! And the 200 is limited to the main lens. So the 50 gives you the main lens and the 5X and since those are the 2 lenses I like shooting with the most that works for me.

I love my Pixel Fold form factor it’s been a great device for me

Ive had the S9 ultra for a few months now. I also have a S9 FE, a Chromebook Duet 5 and now a Leia Lume Pad 2 3D tablet. I had an iPad M1 iPad Pro, but it didn't work well with my workflow, owning a Samsung Fold and Windows PC. It was the only device that didn't work well together with everything else. So, I'm definitely into tablets as well. I always have 2-3 if not more at all times. My job is an all Windows PC environment, and Quick Share works on windows PC's too, and sending files from my phone, to the tablet or PC or vice versa is clutch, and my iPad Pro was sitting there like the only one not invited to the party, lol. So I used it to trade in for an M4 iPad Pro as a graduation gift for my daughter as she heads off to college. You hit the nail on the head regarding the SPen vs the Apple Pencil. That hard tip of the Pencil tapping on the iPad screen as I took notes, would just get to me, whereas the Spen with the softer tip, felt more like writing on paper, if that makes sense, because it gives a little when writing or in your case drawing, and there is just enough of resistance, like when you're writing on paper. Plus that writing sound when you use it,,at least in Samsung notes, is a little 🔥 to me, lol. Anyway, good video, it's the least biassed video I've seen from an iPad user that I've seen in a minute.

My sim seems to always comes back to this phone. I love the compact form factor and battery life is excellent on 3G, able to last me the whole day and im always on data. My only drawback is it so goddam heavy.

Another awesome video sir. You are the one creator I always look to when I want to know the real deal. I've been using my pixel fold since launch with absolutely no issues at all. Very good, reliable device. People say crazy stuff about devices but to be honest, this thing does the job. Might not be the champ at everything but every time I pick it up, it does what I want it to do smooth and fast. So I'm satisfied. I agree on the cameras. I'm not that into photography so the images are good for me. Man keep up the excellent work and thank you for your time and dedication to the craft.

The Pixel Fold took too much undue criticism IMHO. Though I am excited for the Pixel Fold 2, I’m a little sad they are moving away from the landscape orientation.

Watching this on my Zfold 5! I love foldables but I will probably always be carrying 2 phones even if I get a Zfold 7 or 8 with ultra level cameras. Because as good as my Zfold has been to me, I like the idea of being able to go to the beach and take pictures. But the beach is one place I will never take a foldable. Sand and a folding screen are not compatible. That being said I don't see myself every not having a foldable in my life.
